Hi, I’m Frankie Sunswept. I’m a songwriter, artist, and teacher born and raised in Los Angeles and currently based in NYC. I began playing guitar at age 11 inspired by MTV, classic rock, and punk rock, and I’ve gone on to play drums, bass, piano, harmonica, and percussion. I am inspired by a myriad of genres including folk, blues, R&B, soul, garage, surf, metal, world music, and rock n' roll.  

Since 2003, I’ve released original music under Frank Hoier, Crushed Out, and now Frankie Sunswept & the Sliver Moons. My 4th album since 2018, Nostalgia, releases Feb 14, 2025.

I have performed over 600 shows in 45 US states and 11 countries opening for such diverse acts as Delicate Steve, Joan Jett, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Shakey Graves, Band of Skulls, Calvin Johnson, and Social Distortion.

I offer a customized curriculum at competitive rates at my studio or in your home. As a teacher I strive to encourage and empower my clients to explore music with curiosity and ease. We will learn songs you love in a playful environment, while diving into the techniques, theory, and scales you need to stay inspired and progress.

6o minute lesson: $75-$100
